What is the average use per application?
This all depends on length and texture of the hair. The most you will use is 5oz for very long hair, 3-4oz for Med-Long, and 2-3 for short- med.
How many applications will I get from one 16.9oz bottle of the STRAIGHTLINES treatment?
This all depends on length and texture of the hair. On average one bottle will get you 4-8 applications.
Can I perm my hair after doing straightening system if I want to go back to curly hair?
Yes, but it is recommended to wait a few weeks, ideally a month to get a perm after the anoplasty treatment. This allows the hair to stabilize and not cause damage. You can temporarily curl with irons and rods.
Do I need to use a sodium chloride and sodium sulfate free shampoo after the STRAIGHTLINES straightening treatment?
No, because this is NOT a keratin smoothing treatment it is not necessary to use a sodium chloride or sulfate free shampoo. We do recommend and guarantee longer lasting results when using the STRAIGHTLINES shampoo and masque.
Does the STRAIGHTLINES straightening treatment burn off formaldehyde when an iron is used?
No, there are no harmful gasses omitted when ironing. This is a zero formaldehyde/aldehyde formula.
How long does this straightening process take?
The process can take from three to five hours depending on length/texture of the hair. This is a luxury permanent straightening treatment that will last up to 12 months depending on regrowth. Remember to book clients in between your processing time to maximize your time.
Do I need a flat iron that goes up to 450 degrees?
No, Normally you will not go over 420 degrees, If you are working with afro textured or very kinky curly hair you may go up to 446 degrees.
